🇧🇷 Brazil will host its first edition of the Plastics Recycling Show (PRS) on 17–18 May 2027 at the Renaissance São Paulo Hotel.

The event is a joint initiative of Crain Communications and ABIPLAST, bringing together recyclers, converters, brand owners, machinery and technology suppliers, policymakers and sustainability experts from across Brazil and Latin America.

♻️ The launch comes as the industry responds to Decree No. 12,688/2025, which regulates reverse logistics and the use of recycled content in plastic packaging in Brazil.

Focus on plastics recycling

The conference will focus on recycling technologies, market developments, public policy and practical approaches to increasing the recovery and reuse of plastics.

PRS Brazil is organised by Crain Communications and ABIPLAST, in partnership with Plastics Recyclers Europe. FIMIC has been confirmed as Gold Sponsor of the launch event.

Annual event from 2028

From 2028, PRS Brazil will expand into an annual exhibition and conference, creating a larger platform for companies, technology providers and industry organisations to engage with the Brazilian and wider Latin American plastics recycling markets.
