Enva offers two-year supply agreements for recycled plastics used in white goods
Enva can supply more than 600 tonnes of white recycled polystyrene (PS) compound per month to European white goods manufacturers, backed by plastics recovered from end-of-life electrical equipment.
The company offers supply and pricing agreements for up to two years, providing manufacturers with greater certainty over material quality, availability and costs.
Enva processes plastics recovered from end-of-life appliances. Its operations handle more than two million end-of-life fridges a year, providing polymer feedstock for recycled compounds used in new appliances.
Developing recycled polymers for specific applications requires testing, production trials and product development. Uncertainty over quality, supply and price can discourage manufacturers from investing in these processes.
Bradley Wright, General Manager, Plastics GB at Enva, said: “Manufacturers understand the case for increasing recycled content. The challenge is having the confidence to commit to it.”
Enva works directly with manufacturers to adapt recycled compounds to specific applications, using its in-house technical and laboratory capabilities to address manufacturing, performance and aesthetic requirements.
The company aims to return more recovered plastics to manufacturing and reduce reliance on virgin polymers.
