Eilbeck Shredders Completes 60-Metre Waste-to-Energy Processing Line for US Market
Australian engineering company Eilbeck Shredders has completed a 60-metre industrial waste processing line for a customer in North Carolina, marking a major export project for its partnership with US-based Eidal.
The turnkey system combines three Eilbeck 7272 dual-shaft primary shredders with three 6060 single-shaft Raspers. The primary machines use low-speed, high-torque technology to break down bulky materials, while the downstream Raspers further reduce particle size and improve material liberation.
⚙️ The line also incorporates ferrous and non-ferrous metal separation equipment, alongside an industrial drive package supplied by Flender. The package includes helical and planetary gearboxes, fluid couplings and gear couplings, with condition-monitoring technology integrated into the drive systems.

According to Manufacturers’ Monthly, the equipment was designed and manufactured at Eilbeck’s facility in Ingleburn, New South Wales, over a nine-month period. The project represents the first shredder system produced in Australia under the Eilbeck–Eidal partnership.
The companies bring together complementary engineering backgrounds: Eilbeck traces its industrial heritage to 1907, while Eidal has been developing shredding technology in North America since 1966.
