The  Pellenc ST team will present its new VISIONAIR™ sorting system at ECOMONDO 2026 in Rimini, Italy, from 3 to 6 November. Visitors can meet the company’s specialists to explore the technology and discuss potential applications.

VISIONAIR™ is a new RGB vision and AI-based sorter designed and manufactured by Pellenc ST to complement existing near-infrared (NIR) and visible spectrum (VIS) technologies.

The system extends sorting capabilities at the end of recycling lines, targeting applications such as plastics sorting and food/non-food separation, with further applications planned.

Unlike a replacement for conventional NIR/VIS technology, VISIONAIR™ is positioned as a complementary solution, giving recycling operators additional options for material separation and the development of new sorting streams.

The launch highlights the growing role of RGB imaging and artificial intelligence in expanding the capabilities of automated recycling lines.
