TOMRA Recycling launches FINDER™ — next-generation flexible metal recovery platform
FINDER™ is designed to handle increasingly complex infeed streams such as shredded end-of-life vehicles and e-scrap. It upgrades mixed non-ferrous fractions (copper, brass), recovers insulated wire, cleans stainless steel, separates metals from non-metals, and sorts printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Unmatched flexibility
The new modular, multi-sensor architecture allows operators to configure and scale the system with the required sensors. A redesigned mechanical structure enables plug-and-play integration, reducing installation time, costs, and improving service access.
Maximum metal recovery
A next-generation electromagnetic sensor ensures high-precision metal/non-metal separation. Upgraded valve blocks, variable air control, and improved ejection systems enhance performance, reduce air consumption, and increase operational stability.
Advanced metal separation
FINDER™ combines multiple sensing technologies, including NIR and optional DEEP LAISER™, enabling high-definition classification for complex applications such as stainless steel cleaning, PCB recovery, and insulated wire removal. AI-based object recognition further improves separation of thin, overlapping, or low-contrast materials. Integration with TOMRA’s deep learning system GAINnext™ enables even more complex sorting tasks.
Integrated digitalization
All machines can be controlled via a single interface, with real-time performance monitoring. The optional TOMRA Insight platform provides full data transparency on machine health and material flow, enabling data-driven sorting decisions. Simplified service
New design features improve maintenance access, reduce downtime, and lower service costs.
📍 FINDER™ will be showcased at IFAT 2026 (May 4–7, Munich) at TOMRA stand 339, Hall B6.
