The modernization of Heingroup's lightweight packaging sorting facility in Luxembourg has been successfully completed, with the project delivered by Sutco® and featuring the installation of the Matthiessen Lagertechnik GmbH Oversize Remover.

Based in Luxembourg, Heingroup is one of the country's leading waste management and recycling companies, providing collection, sorting and resource recovery services for municipalities, businesses and industry. The company continues to invest in advanced sorting technologies to improve material recovery and operational efficiency.

The upgraded facility incorporates the Matthiessen Oversize Remover, designed to remove films and other oversized materials at the very beginning of the sorting process.

⚙️ Using retractable rotor spikes, the system selectively removes films and other problematic oversized items before they can cause blockages, knot formation and unplanned cleaning stops, reducing the load on downstream screening equipment and improving overall process stability.
