Greyparrot raises $27 million to scale AI-powered recycling intelligence globally

AI waste analytics company Greyparrot has raised $27 million in Series B funding, led by OM Elite Assets Investment, to accelerate the global deployment of its recycling intelligence platform and expand its presence, particularly in the U.S.

Rather than replacing existing sorting equipment, Greyparrot's technology enhances recycling facilities with AI-powered machine vision, giving operators real-time visibility into material flows and helping recover more valuable resources from waste streams.

💬 Greyparrot co-founder Ambarish Mitra says the company's vision has always been driven by economics rather than environmentalism.

"Waste is like the shadow of human consumption every day... It was almost like unlocking the financial value of waste."

By identifying valuable materials such as aluminium, PET and HDPE before they are lost to landfill, recycling facilities can increase material recovery while improving profitability.

The new funding will support expansion in North America, continued hardware development, hiring and the use of recycling data to inform future packaging policy.
