STEINERT expands its presence in Mexico

Sorting and separation technologies specialist STEINERT is expanding its operations in Mexico to provide customers with direct local support, strengthened service capabilities and faster access to technical expertise.

The move reflects the growing importance of the Mexican recycling, metal processing and mining industries and reinforces the company's commitment to building long-term partnerships with local operators.

🏭 The expansion follows STEINERT's investments in increasing production capacity at STEINERT UniSort and STEINERT MSort in Germany during 2024 and 2025. With a dedicated warehouse and local spare-parts availability, the company aims to respond more efficiently to customer requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of its sorting and separation systems.

Customers will also benefit from Spanish-language service support, application consulting and closer coordination during new project implementation.

💬 “The Mexican market is dynamic and full of incredible potential. This strategic expansion is a vital step forward in achieving our core mission: solving complex sorting challenges to create a world of infinite resources,” said Vinícius Souto and Robert Broughton, Managing Directors of STEINERT USA

. 📈 Peter Funke, CEO of the STEINERT Group, added: “With the opening of STEINERT Mexico, we have reached another milestone in our growth strategy.”

The expansion is already backed by a major project: STEINERT has been selected to design and supply the separation equipment for DIMECA's new ferrous metal recovery line in central Mexico.

The leading scrap metal processor will use advanced STEINERT separation technologies to process up to 20 tonnes of material per hour, increasing operational efficiency while maximizing the recovery of valuable secondary raw materials. The project marks an important milestone for STEINERT's activities in Mexico and provides a strong foundation for the company's further development in the market.
