Turning data into performance: STADLER showcases STADLERconnect live at IFAT 2026

At IFAT 2026 in Munich, STADLER Group presented its vision for the next phase of the recycling industry — where data-driven operations and digital optimisation are at the core of plant performance.

During a press event on 4 May, the company introduced its STADLERconnect platform through a live, interactive Demo Loop, demonstrating how real-time data and AI can translate into measurable improvements in efficiency, availability and output quality.

The session was opened by Co-CEOs Willi Stadler and Julia Stadler, who highlighted both the company’s continued international growth — including a new office in Japan and expansion in India and Poland — and its strategic shift towards intelligent, connected operations.

At the centre of the presentation was a fully integrated mini-plant setup, where visitors could simulate real operating conditions and observe how digital tools actively influence plant performance in real time. The system showcased applications such as predictive maintenance, blockage detection, downtime tracking, production reporting and adaptive plant control.

According to STADLER, the cloud-based platform — powered by real-time plant data and AI — is already deployed in customer plants across nine countries, with modules implemented in more than 40 facilities. In specific applications, it has delivered yield improvements of up to 18%, alongside reduced unplanned downtime and automated quality control.

In addition to digital solutions, STADLER also introduced its new Air Drum Sifter, a compact system combining drum screening and air separation for efficient processing of mixed material streams.

Overall, STADLER’s presence at IFAT 2026 underlined a clear strategic direction: moving beyond traditional plant engineering towards fully integrated, data-driven operations — helping customers improve performance, reliability and transparency across their facilities.
