STADLER Delivers Austria’s Most Advanced Lightweight Packaging Sorting Plant for PreZero

STADLER has officially completed and commissioned a groundbreaking automated recycling facility in Sollenau, built for PreZero Austria. Representing the largest and most complex project in STADLER’s history, the plant sets a new benchmark for automation, safety, and circular economy performance. Capacity: 104,500 tonnes per year across two modules 35 STEINERT NIR sorters for maximum precision and recovery Integrated AI-based BatterySort system for fire safety & hazardous material removal Redundant sorting lines + automated baler control = 24/7 operation with minimal downtime Tailored design to cut transport routes, emissions, and strengthen Austria’s recycling infrastructure
