A new £16 million recycling plant has entered operation in Northern Ireland, featuring a 3D trommel screening system, six optical sorters (including Pellenc ST Mistral+ CONNECT™ full-package units), AI-driven sorting technology, and integrated digital monitoring systems, following its completion by Kiverco for McKinstry Group.

The facility is described as the largest plant of its kind in the UK and Ireland and represents the biggest project in Kiverco's history.

The facility has been engineered to process high volumes of mixed waste while enhancing material quality and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
