Vinyl Revival Powered by High-Tech Recycling

Vinyl records are not just back—they’re being pressed sustainably in Haarlem, Netherlands. Since 1958, Record Industry has produced thousands of records daily. Today, thanks to cutting-edge recycling technologies from WEIMA Maschinenbau GmbH and Wanner Technik GmbH, the legendary plant has transformed into a zero-waste manufacturing hub. ♻️ Closed-Loop PVC Recycling

Inline Waste Recovery: Each pressing process creates PVC edge trimmings. Compact Wanner C-series granulators beside 40 pressing machines instantly shred offcuts into 4 mm flakes, which are fed straight back into production. Advanced Shredding Line: For larger rejects (pucks, faulty records), a WEIMA WLK 4 single-shaft shredder pre-shreds PVC into 25 mm flakes. A Wanner Dynamic granulator then refines material into high-quality granulate. Dust-Free Recyclate: A dedusting system removes fine dust, improving material quality for reuse.

🎨 Sustainable, Colorful Records

From tiny flakes of recycled PVC emerges a new kind of vinyl—100% reused, swirling with unique marbled patterns. Each record is not just music but a statement of sustainability, turning what was once waste into vibrant, collectible sound.

Under one roof, music is born and brought to life: recorded and mastered in-house, cut with precision on lacquer or copper plates through Direct Metal Mastering (DMM), then pressed, sleeved, and packaged by fully automated lines—delivering artistry and efficiency in every spin.

💬 “Our pressing process is virtually waste-free thanks to seamless cooperation with WEIMA and Wanner. We maximize material resources while delivering sustainable, high-quality vinyl for artists worldwide,” says Dennis Borst, Technical Manager, Record Industry.

With innovation driving sustainability, Record Industry proves that analog sound and circular economy can spin together perfectly.
